Latin American Ethnobotanical Garden

Virtual Garden Tour

Care for the Rare App

Botanic Garden Conservation International (BGCI) selected eight U.S.-based educational gardens to pilot a new, self-guided tour app for smartphones.  The gardens included the U.S. Botanic Garden, the Missouri Botanical Garden, the UGA Latin American Ethnobotanical Garden (LAEG), among others.  The narrated tours for the LAEG were refined during 2018-19 and are fully enabled, allowing individuals with the app to listen to detailed content about two dozen, ethnobotanically-important Latin American plants found in the garden.
