Archaeology of the Caribbean Credit Hours: 3 This history of archaeology in the Caribbean islands focuses on theories of migration, settlement patterns, subsistence strategies, and emergence of complex polities encountered by the first Europeans. The Caribbean region will be compared to adjacent areas along the Gulf Coast to explore the roots and limits of Caribbean traditions.
