Congratulations to LACSI Core Faculty, Dr. Cecilia Rodrigues (Romance Languages and Portuguese Flagship Program) and Dr. Sharina Maillo-Pozo (Romance Languages) for their most recent outstanding achievements. 

Dr. Rodrigues was elected as president of the American Portuguese Studies Association (APSA), the flagship organization for scholars and educators focused on Portuguese and the Lusophone world. 

Dr. Maillo-Pozo has been awarded promotion and tenure to the rank of Associate Professor.
